Darcy Lever CC receive NEW cricket shirts sponsored by ExtraCover Insurance
The objectives of the competition were to find a cricket club that needed new cricket shirts for the 2017 cricket season, who were happy to set up an online club shop with Kalibazar, and one that would help with the promotion of ExtraCover Insurance scheme, on behalf of Yorkshire based Insurance Brokers Marshall Wooldridge, and Darcy Lever Cricket Club were the winning club.
As well as featuring pin-sharp embroidery of the Darcy Lever CC club logo by the team at Kalibazar, the clubs new Surridge cricket shirts will also carry the newly designed “ExtraCover Insurance” logo on the shirt fronts and back.
Mark Dearden of ExtraCover Insurance visited the club on a damp Saturday morning to present the shirts to Captain James Walsh-Hill, together with ExtraCover branded stumps, ahead of Darcy Levers Bolton Cricket League home match vs Eagley Cricket Club.
Speaking about the presentation to Darcy Lever CC, Mark Dearden, Sports Development Manager for ExtraCover Insurance said:
“We’re delighted to be here at Darcy Lever Cricket Club, who won our competition to win 12 new cricket shirts which feature the new “ExtraCover Insurance” logo on the chest and back of the shirts. We set out to find a club that would not only benefit from receiving a set of brand new cricket shirts, but also one that would help us to raise the profile and awareness of the ExtraCover Insurance scheme, which is the only cricket club insurance policy approved and endorsed by the ECB. The shirts look great and we hope to see lots of pictures of the clubs players wearing them in the remaining matches of this season and throughout the 2017 season too.”
Commenting on behalf of Darcy Lever CC, Andy Patel said:
“We’re very grateful to ExtraCover Insurance and Kalibazar for choosing us as winners for the fabulous new cricket shirts, we saw the competition on twitter, chose to enter and we were thrilled to win. Its great PR for a club like ours and will help us to raise the clubs profile locally and regionally. We’ve recently improved the facilities at the club with a brand new two lane non-turf practice area, which will help all club members to be able to practice more regularly, particularly the youth teams, as well as having new domed pitch covers delivered this week, which will mean that we’re able to play more cricket at all levels. We want to welcome more young players to the club as we have better facilities now, and ideally we can bring them through to represent the club, county and who know maybe even England.”
